Acts
Catching Air
Video and performance piece
This is a video piece that accompanies a classic striptease. Ms. Bea is lying on the floor–face down–for the first half of the piece (with the images and Marianne Faithfull song) and then strips–both her costume and burlesque artifice–for the second half. This has been presented at Beastwomen (Chicago’s all female cabaret), and the Mondo Homo and Rhino Festivals.

- My Heart Belongs to Daddy
My Heart Belongs to Daddy
Singing striptease (comedy)
In this act, Bea begins singing the old standard “My Heart Belongs to Daddy” to the audience. At some point, though, it becomes clear that Daddy is not who you thought it is…

- Bea as Princess Leia
Feel the Force
Comedic Character Striptease
In this homage to Ms Bea’s gay root, Princess Leia, Bea transforms herself from the good girl Leia of the fourth film to the metal bikini-wearing sexpot of the sixth. Set to a remixed (by Bea) disco version of the Star Wars theme, this act is hilarious and sexy.

- 99 Red Balloons
99 Red Balloons
Balloon act (comedy)
The classic balloon act, turned on its ear by a crazy, manic, clumsy stripteaser. Set to the 80’s classic, 99 Red Balloons.

- Lost in Your Eyes
Lost in Your Eyes
Singing striptease/Performance Art
Singing the classic Deborah Gibson ballad, Ms. Bea professes for her great love…for herself. This piece has been seen at Beastwomen and Prissy Bitch Productions shows in addition to the Girlie-Q Variety Hour.

- Geek Act at Berlin
The Geek Act
Sideshow striptease
Inspired by the novel Geek Love, Ms. Bea and her chickens take the stage in a bizarre celebration of love between a girl and her fowl. Watch out, though, because the ending holds a little twist.

- It’s Martini Time! at Beastwomen
It’s Martini Time!
Comedic Striptease
In a manic flurry of activity, that includes some acrobatic moves, Ms. Bea mixes up a version special treat for a member of the audience. Just wait’ll you see where she hides her booze and the cherries!
Glory Box
Chair Dance/Classic Striptease
Debuted in 2005, Glory Box was Bea’s first foray into classic burlesque. A sexy, sultry interpretation of the Portishead song, this is one of Bea’s classic standards.
Happy, Happy Birthday Baby
Singing comedic striptease
Inspired by an audience member who commissioned a piece for his birthday, Bea created one of her signature “special occasion” acts. In this one, the birthday girl/boy gets to blow out candles that are placed somewhere special.

- Drive
Drive
Neo-Burlesque Striptease
Set to a Melissa Ferrick song, this act oozes sexuality. A classic chair dance with queer flourishes, Drive is sure to make your seat wet.
GROUP ACTS

- Thriller Group Act
Thriller
Comedic Group Striptease
Debuted in 2005, this Thriller of an act was Chicago’s original group Thriller number. Not an original idea by any stretch, but the makeup and choreography on this one make it a true Girlie-Q original.

- Santa Babies in Santa vs. Ice
Santa Baby vs. Ice Ice Baby
The Final Smackdown
Comedy group striptease/Dance battle
In this “dance battle”, Santa Babies are pitted against Ice, Ice Babies, to vie for the title of “Most Christmassy” (or something like that). This battle, ridiculous in nature, ends with everyone (of course) getting naked. So everyone wins, really. Set to a mix of Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt and Ice, Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice created by Bea. (Concept, main choreography, costuming and music by bea; additional choreography by Oosha Boom–Amber Dawn Peterson, Maiden Sacrifice and many others.)

- This is Halloween
This is Halloween at Varietease Cabaret
Gothic group striptease
A moody, gothic turn for Ms. Bea’s choreography work, This is Halloween was presented as a part of 2008’s Varietease Cabaret and featured some of Chicago’s heavy hitting burlesque stars, including Red Hot Annie, Mae the Bellydancer, Natasha Minsk, Lyra Belecqua and Ms. Bea. Incorporating sexy moves and bellydance from Mae the Bellydancer’s repertoire, it was a sexy opening act for this Halloween themed show. Set to a mix of the Panic at the Disco and Marilyn Manson’s versions of This is Halloween mixed by Bea.
Happy Holidays/Holiday Inn
Classic Group Burlesque
Another from the vault of Girlie-Q Variety Hour’s three year run at the HotHouse. This classic sexy group strip featured some of Chicago burlesque’s biggest stars, including Mae the Bellydancer, Backdoor Aly, Lyra Belequa and Ms. Bea. Set to the Beef Wellington mix of Happy Holidays.
